Feed campaigns in ChatGPT Ads: ads at the scale of your catalog

If you advertise 5 products, you build 5 ads by hand. If you advertise 5,000, you need a feed. Feed campaigns are OpenAI's answer to catalog advertising: ads are generated from your product data — title, image, price, link — and ChatGPT picks the matching products per conversation, individually or as a multi-product carousel.

How the chain works

• Product feed: your catalog at OpenAI, created in the Ads Manager and filled via file or SFTP upload.
• Feed campaign: a campaign in product_feed mode, permanently bound to one feed, with an objective (reach, clicks or conversions).
• Product sets: per ad group you filter which feed products it promotes — by category, brand or price, for example.
• Ads: one product_ad_template instead of individual creatives — image, price and target URL come from the feed per product.

Why this is more than a time-saver

The feed keeps ads current: price changes and availability flow in automatically, sold-out products disappear. And the carousel shows several matching products in one answer — reported separately (carousel card impressions are not billable). For shops, this is the way to be present in ChatGPT without producing creatives per item.

Launching feed campaigns in Chatvertise

Under “Product feeds” you see all feeds in your account with product counts and can browse products. “Feed campaign” starts the guided flow: pick the feed, set objective and budget, create ad groups with product-set filters (e.g. “category in shoes” or “price < 50”), write the template ad — done.
