Why isn't my ChatGPT ad serving?

Campaign active but zero impressions? It's almost always one of a handful of typical delivery blockers. Here are the most common causes and how to fix them.

Budget exhausted

The campaign budget (daily or lifetime) has been reached. A daily budget resumes delivery automatically the next day; otherwise raise the budget.

In review

New or edited ads go through approval. While a review is pending, the ad won't serve (fully). This usually resolves on its own — wait for the review.

Bid too low

If your max bid is too low, your ad wins no auctions. Raise the ad group's bid gradually.

Destination domain not approved

The landing URL must belong to a domain verified on the account. An unapproved domain returns a 403 on save and blocks delivery — verify the domain in the OpenAI Ads Manager.

Account review pending or rejected

If your account's brand review isn't approved yet (or was rejected), nothing serves. Check the account status and add anything missing (e.g. a favicon).

No serving-ready ads

  • The campaign or ad group is paused.
  • The ad group has no approved ads.
  • The start/end date is outside today's date.

Chatvertise shows exactly this reason on every campaign, ad group and ad — as a clear delivery-status indicator, so you don't have to guess. Connect your API key and start free.
